How it works

One place to answer “Who is this person, and can we trust them?”

Your product asks one question. Attesta quietly talks to the right data partner — identity registries and fraud networks across Africa, the national credit bureaus for credit history — and hands back a single, clear answer in seconds.

The big picture

Everything on the right is invisible to your customer.

Your product never talks to a bureau or identity registry directly. It sends one request to Attesta, which decides who to ask, runs the checks, keeps a record, and returns one answer.
A real example

Ama applies for a GH₵ 1,500 loan.

Five checks run back to back. Each one is answered by the source best placed to know — and you decide which that is.

1Confirm identityAma's Ghana Card is checked against national and bank records. Name, date of birth and phone must all agree.Identity network
2Credit scoreOne number from 300 to 850, with a plain rating such as “Very good”.Credit bureau
3Can she afford it?Existing loans and how she has repaid them, weighed against the GH₵ 1,500 she asked for. Returns a safe limit.Credit bureau
4Fraud & sanctionsHer phone, email and name are screened against fraud signals and international watch-lists.Identity network
5DecisionApprove, review or decline — using your own rules, with reasons you can show Ama.Your platform

Steps 1–4 pull facts from the data sources; step 5 is where your own lending rules turn those facts into a decision. If Ama were in Nigeria, steps 2 and 3 would be answered by the Nigerian bureaus instead.

How it works

Three steps from sign-up to decision.

STEP 1

Capture consent and an ID

Collect a Ghana Card, BVN or NIN — through your own screens or our hosted flow — along with the customer's consent.

STEP 2

Run the checks you need

Identity, credit, affordability, fraud. One call each, or one bundle. Attesta routes to the best source and normalises the answer.

STEP 3

Decide, with reasons

Apply your own rules in our decision engine, or take the raw facts into yours. Either way, the full trail is on record.
