How it works

Do the watchlists know this name, and does the session smell wrong?

  1. 1

    Screen the name

Sanctions lists (OFAC, UN, EU), PEP registers, law-enforcement warning lists and adverse media, fuzzily — a list you can evade by adding a middle name would be worthless.

  2. 2

    Score the session

Email age and reputation, phone line type and carrier, IP and proxy status, device fingerprint — collapsed into one number with the contributing signals kept.

  3. 3

    Review the hits

Each hit carries its list, its score and its source. An analyst clears or confirms it in the console, and that decision is recorded.

  4. 4

    Keep watching

Re-screen on a schedule. A clean customer today is not a clean customer next quarter.

In practice

One request. One envelope.

Every product on this page shares the same request shape, the same response envelope and the same audit trail. Adding one later is a new value in service, not a new integration.

Where it is used

Reached for when the answer has to hold up.

Onboarding gate

Block sanctioned parties before an account exists.

Payment screening

Screen the counterparty, not just the customer.

Periodic review

Re-screen the book on a schedule and surface only what changed.

Worth knowing. Watchlist matching is deliberately fuzzy, so it produces near misses on purpose. Every hit is reviewable, and a cleared hit stays on the record with who cleared it.
